The resolution on the amendment to the Environmental Impact Assessment Act is planned for this autumn. In addition to a general acceleration of approval procedures, especially with regard to projects of the energy transition, the following additional regulatory goals are in the foreground: from an increase in procedural efficiency, to the creation of conformity with EU law and an adaptation to current case law, an expansion of the EIA obligation for certain types of projects is also aimed for.
