Vienna, October 2019. fwp continues on the road to success: The current ranking by international industry leader IFLR 1000 – ‘The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms 2020’ lists fwp again among the best Austrian law firms, for its outstanding work in Banking & Finance, Restructuring, M&A, Project Development as well as Capital Markets. In the Restructuring area of competence, fwp ranks in Tier 1 for the first time and is elected ‘Top Tier Firm of the Year 2020‘. No less than five fwp partners have been singled out for their expertise.

According to the Guide’s own statements, the ‘IFLR 1000’ international lawyers’ ranking is the most comprehensive ranking to date, involving thousands of law firms in more than 120 countries in the research process.

All the more important are the renewed top rankings of fwp in the categories Banking & Finance, Restructuring, M&A, Project Development as well as Capital Markets. In Banking & Finance, the firm has even succeeded in making the leap from Tier 3 to Tier 2. Above all, however, it is Restructuring where fwp scored with impressive deals leading to a position in Tier 1. fwp is particularly proud to have been awarded a ‘Top Tier Firm of the Year 2020‚ ranking.

Markus Fellner and Michael Hecht continue to be ranked as market leaders owing to their outstanding expertise. Florian Kranebitter and Lukas Flener were awarded a ‘Notable Practitioner’ ranking again, and Paul Luiki is being recommended as ‘highly regarded’ attorney-at-law like he was last year.
