fwp celebrates this year's International Women's Day with rewarding knowledge and excellent women speakers

Vienna, 12 March 2024: Last week Fellner Wratzfeld & Partner (fwp) celebrated International Women's Day with an inspiring event that brought together around 40 female legal practitioners. The fwp International Women's Day offered a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and promoting diversity on the labour market.

Under the motto "Empowerment for Female Legal Practitioners" fwp seized upon the vital significance of equality in the legal field and held an fwp International Women's Day for the first time on 8 March 2024. The aim of the event was to give young female legal practitioners a platform to acquire knowledge and share professional experiences. The event program offered some 50 participants a multifaceted line-up of lectures, workshops, readings and talks by high-profile women speakers from different industries, who discussed all aspects of equality.

The keynote speech was given by Eva Landrichtinger, Secretary General at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy. Her lecture on the topic of inclusion and diversity on the labour market provided the participants with valuable insights and ideas.

After that the event offered a diverse mix of workshops, readings and talks: Julia Fodor, influencer and successful founder of a number of enterprises, shared personal strategies and experiences for promoting endurance and resilience in her lecture "How to be unstoppable". The workshops held by Vera Steinhäuser and Wernetta Eberhardt investigated the question of how you can have a fulfilled life that includes creative power. In this context they gave the participants practical insights and tips on how to develop personalities in the working world and how to skilfully deal with professional challenges. In her talk fwp partner Monika Sturm spoke about the multifaceted career opportunities offered by law firms, while Vienna-based influencer and entrepreneur Christl Clear shed light on the position of women in the working world in her reading. Puls 4 presenter Verena Schneider rounded off the program with her speech on self-esteem and how to constructively deal with criticism. During the subsequent get-together the women who attended the fwp International Women's Day had the opportunity to share experiences in an informal atmosphere.

The event was deemed to be a complete success by the participants and left a lasting impression as having been an inspiring event as part of International Women's Day. Through the fwp International Women's Day fwp made another important statement for equal job opportunities of men and women in the legal field.
