Legal requirements, implementation & challenges
The Restoration Regulation obliges EU Member States to restore degraded ecosystems, soils and land. For companies, authorities and planners, this means new legal framework conditions, challenges - but also opportunities. A sound understanding of these requirements is essential in order to implement project developments and planning procedures in a sustainable and legally compliant manner.
In this seminar, fwp partner Josef Peer and civil engineer Thomas Knoll offer a practical overview of the most important legal and technical principles of renaturation and soil protection. Topics covered include EU regulations, national restoration plans, spatial planning restrictions and the effects on infrastructure projects and environmental impact assessments.
Practical examples will be used to highlight the opportunities and risks of the new regulations. You will also gain an insight into the current status of implementation in Austria, relevant funding opportunities and the interfaces with spatial planning, nature conservation and the EU taxonomy. Use this seminar to avoid legal uncertainties, future-proof your projects and successfully integrate the new requirements of the EU regulation into your planning.
