The preparations and challenges of projects subject to EIA often cause difficulties for project applicants, planners and authorities. Calls for a procedural acceleration of environmental impact assessments have become louder and louder in recent years. Particularly long procedural durations are criticised, all the more so in the case of climate-relevant projects, which have everything but time. The planned EIA amendment is now supposed to bring some of the hoped-for innovations, such as clear regulations for the approval procedures as well as for their end.
fwp partner Michael Hecht and fwp Attorney at Law Josef Peer provide information on the relevant innovations as well as the legal framework and offer an update to all those who want to be up to date on the topics of sustainability and climate protection.
