GSR and fwp Join Forces in Tyrol

fwp Tirol combines personalized legal advice in Innsbruck with the comprehensive range of services and international reach of one of Austria’s leading firms in Austria.
Innsbruck/Vienna, October 22, 2026. The Innsbruck law firm GSR Grüner Seekirchner und Fellner Wratzfeld & Partner (fwp) is joining forces in Tyrol. The GSR legal team will become part of fwp and will operate as “fwp Tyrol” starting November 1, 2026. For clients in Tyrol, the familiar level of service in Innsbruck will remain fully intact and will be further enhanced by additional expertise and greater capacity. At the same time, they will gain access to the full range of services provided by more than 70 attorneys as well as to fwp’s international network.
Roswitha Seekirchner and GSR founding partner Jakob Grüner will become partners at fwp. Seekirchner will lead fwp Tirol going forward. Together with their well-coordinated team—which will continue to grow—they will continue to provide personalized legal advice at the firm’s existing Innsbruck office.
“From the very beginning, our goal has been to provide clients in Tyrol with personalized advice of the highest caliber. The familiar, personal service at the Arkadenhof will remain unchanged. At the same time, we draw on fwp’s breadth of expertise and international reach, and can now also handle particularly complex and cross-border matters from our Innsbruck office,” emphasizes Roswitha Seekirchner, head of fwp Tyrol.
Jakob Grüner, founding partner of GSR, explains: “Tyrol’s economy is driven in particular by small and medium-sized businesses and large, long-established family-owned companies. These clients expect personalized advice from attorneys who understand their businesses and the regional context. The demand for our services has prompted us to significantly expand our staff resources. With fwp, we are expanding our commercial law practice and developing the Innsbruck office into one of the leading commercial law firms in Western Austria as well. This benefits both businesses and Tyrol as a business hub. We remain personally accountable to our existing clients—but in the future, we will do so with the full range of expertise and personnel resources of a large commercial law firm.”
fwp Establishes a Permanent Presence in Tyrol
fwp has been handling Tyrol-related matters for years, most recently including the refinancing in connection with the sale of Kaufhaus Tyrol GmbH. The firm is now establishing a permanent presence in Western Austria and moving closer to existing and future clients.
With fwp Tirol, fwp’s full range of services will now also be available in Innsbruck. GSR’s previous areas of focus—corporate and business law, real estate law, and public law—will be complemented by specialized teams in 13 core areas of business law. These include, among others, banking law and financing, corporate and M&A, restructuring and insolvency law, employment law, data protection, antitrust law and compliance, planning, environmental, and public procurement law, as well as litigation and arbitration. This enables the firm to comprehensively handle even large, multidisciplinary, and cross-border matters from its Innsbruck office.
Markus Fellner, founding partner of fwp: “We have valued the professional excellence and strong regional ties of Roswitha Seekirchner and Jakob Grüner for many years. fwp already advises clients in Tyrol. With ‘fwp Tirol,’ we are establishing a firm foothold in one of Austria’s most dynamic economic regions. Our goal is to support companies in the region over the long term and to grow alongside them.”
