fwp is supporting the expansion of photovoltaic systems by providing location-based information on structural prerequisites and official approval requirements in Austria via an app.

With the launch of the photovoltaic legal roadmap application, fwp demonstrates that its actions keep pace with the times – especially with regard to climate protection. The application developed by fwp helps users gather, in just a few steps, initial location-based information on the approval procedures for photovoltaic systems.

Based on GPS data or by entering the address or manually setting the location pin on the map, location-based geoinformation is retrieved automatically and used for preparing an automated potential analysis with regard to the requirements to be met to obtain the approval for installing photovoltaic systems at the chosen location.

“This app offers an easy way of getting an overview of the different approval requirements to be met in the federal provinces for installing photovoltaics systems and, at the same time, obtaining an initial assessment concerning the respective location”, says Josef Peer. Together with fwp partner Michael Hecht, he developed the application which aims at promoting the expansion of photovoltaic systems in Austria. The app can be downloaded free of charge in Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store.
