Vienna, 1 October 2020. fwp advice leads to success: Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft m.b.H. (BIG) wins the 2020 Procura+ Award in the category Outstanding Innovation Procurement in ICT.

For more than two years now, the innovation partnership, as a special form of procurement proceedings, has also formed part of the Austrian procurement law.

Its aim is to promote innovation procurement: Once the actual procurement procedure for commissioning the contract partners is completed, innovative services are developed together with one or more enterprises to be used directly by the public contracting authority without the need to conduct a new procurement procedure. Especially when it comes to developing innovative IT and software solutions, such increased flexibility makes the innovation partnership an important up-to-date procurement tool.

The winner of the 2020 Procura+ Awards in the category Outstanding Innovation Procurement in ICT, Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG), found the competent advice and support it was looking for with fwp. A major focus of fwp’s advisory services was on structuring and handling the BIG innovation partnership for the development of an application-based facility management software.

Connecting the various stakeholder levels relating to BIG’s Object & Facility Management department is improved by means of the innovative electronic management tool: Users can easily and efficiently access numerous applications via one app: from booking rooms up to intelligently managing heating and light. The next step envisaged is the joint further development of functionalities and the potential joint distribution of the developed software to third parties within the scope of a joint venture.
