25/kunstakt: fwp connects law, art and business, and once more offers young artists a stage

11/22/2024

Vienna, 22 November 2024: For the 20th time, Fellner Wratzfeld & Partner (fwp) has organised the kunstakt art project together with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and has thus opened its offices for art and creativity. The current exhibition is entitled "Echoes of Resilience" and presents work by promising artists who will exhibit their works at fwp for one year.

The official opening of the exhibition took place last night as part of this year's 25/kunstakt. At the event clients and longstanding partners of fwp had the opportunity to get to know the young artists of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in person and to talk to them about their exhibited works. The manifold artistic approaches of the exhibition will enrich the offices at Vienna's Schottenring over the coming year. In addition, guests at this year's opening were treated to a live performance by artist Nora Köhler. The opening speech was given by Verena Kaspar-Eisert, chief curator of MuseumsQuartier.

For more than 20 years now, fwp and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna have managed to successfully build a bridge between art and law by way of the kunstakt. The aim of the project is to offer young artists a platform to present their works to a wide audience and to critically deal with current topical issues. In this year's exhibition entitled "Echoes of Resilience" the participating artists illustrate the tensions and challenges of the present day. At the same time they want to use their works to encourage others to find new forms of expression and to reflexion. "Through the exhibition "Echoes of Resilience" we want to show how art reflects changing times. This year's works show how resilient and transformative art can be in a constantly changing world", says Veronika Dirnhofer, who curates the exhibition together with Philip Patkowisch, both from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

"The kunstakt is a project that is particularly close to our hearts. On the one hand it offers young artists a stage to present their works to a wide audience. On the other, it is exciting for us to see how art and law are surprisingly interlinked and mutually enrich one another", explains fwp partner Markus Fellner.

The exhibiting artists of the 25/kunstakt are Jamile Azadfallah, Jannis Edelsbacher, Sigmund Hutter, Nora Köhler, Emilia Lichtenwagner, Lisa Obereder, Leonie Marcella Pirker, Shuvo Rafiqul and Mafalda Rakoš in collaboration with Denise Rudolf Frank.
