BREXIT – Legal basis of post-BREXIT relations between the EU and the UK
Since the United Kingdom left the EU with effect from 31 December 2020, the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland constitutes the legal basis for regulating the economic relations between the two sides as well as for cooperation on selected political agendas. Is this agreement just another free trade agreement or is there more to it after all? The providing of services by UK businesses in the EU and vice versa is no longer subject to the regulatory privileges we have grown used to in the Internal Market.
