The Challenge
Dealing with the far-reaching amendments to and reforms of antitrust law in the European Union and in Austria, the changing framework conditions of distribution law, and the introduction of expanded intervention and sanctioning powers of antitrust authorities requires specialised knowledge of Austrian and EC anti-trust law, distribution law and state aid law. Our goal is to find efficient and feasible solutions for the realisation of entrepreneurial ideas that will ensure the success of our clients in compliance with antitrust law, as well as to defend our clients before antitrust authorities and against third parties.

Our Expertise
fwp has extensive experience in advising national und international companies in merger control, anti-trust and abuse proceedings before Austrian antitrust authorities and courts as well as before the Euro-pean Commission. We also assist our clients in developing distribution systems and structuring licensing and cooperation agreements, and provide legal advice to companies undergoing antitrust investigations by authorities. fwp also has special expertise in the evaluation of state aid issues in the course of privatisations, as well as in corporate restructuring.
