fwp at “win² 2010” Conference. Workshop “Cross-border Joint Ventures” for Law Students

fwp is partner of this year’s “win² 2010” conference, a meeting point for future leaders and visionaries. From 30 April to 2 May 2010, Schloss Esterhazy palace in Eisenstadt will bring together up-coming and ambitious university students. In the course of the three-day conference, the students will form teams to discuss and shed light on issues pertaining to the economy and society at large. The conference will give tomorrow’s leaders the chance to meet today’s decision-makers.

fwp partner Paul Luiki will head a working group on the topic “The Challenges of Cross-Border Joint Ventures". The English-language workshop addresses young lawyers and law students who have a thorough understanding of business matters and multicultural issues.

The Challenges of Cross-Border Joint Ventures

Bringing businesses together to work on a long-term joint venture presents one of the most challenging areas for lawyers. What expectations need to be met? Do I need to think about what happens if things go wrong? How do I structure a joint venture properly? What can I do as a lawyer to enhance the longevity of the joint venture?

This English-language workshop will introduce you to the key topics in successfully structuring cross-border joint ventures while assessing the impact of psychological dynamics involved. All of this in the context of a concrete joint venture case study.
