In-house lawyers deal with a large variety of topics, which often requires more than merely legal expert knowledge. Company managers increasingly involve them in critical decision-making processes. In-house lawyers need to factor business economics into their work and to ensure optimum cooperation with other departments and advisors. Furthermore, they are expected to always be up-to-date on the latest developments in their field of expertise and to be ready for challenges such as compliance and risk management.
Current topics
The conference will efficiently cover a broad range of current topics with the aim of deepening legal know-how, on the one hand, and discussing organisational and strategic tasks, on the other hand. In the light of recent events, economy-related issues, such as the role of legal departments in corporate financing or restructuring, will play a pivotal role.
Exchange of experiences
Through parallel workshops, the in-house lawyers circle offers the opportunity for an intense and open exchange of experience with colleagues from all areas of business. Under the motto “by in-house lawyers for in-house lawyers”, in-house lawyers will share their own experience and will present numerous examples of best practice.
In addition, leading legal advisors will share up-to-date legal know-how from selected specialist areas.
Markus Fellner will moderate the kick-off event of the conference, a panel discussion with high-profile participants. On the second day of the conference, Kurt Wratzfeld will chair a workshop on “Employee data scandals: who is next?” (“Mitarbeiterdatenskandale: Wer ist der Nächste?”).
