For the second time, Fellner Wratzfeld & Partners Attorneys at law (fwp) supported the Venture Capital & Private Equity Award as partner and as member on the jury. This year’s award revolved around entrepreneurship, growth and innovation. On 31 May 2010, the five best deals were honoured at the “Haus der Industrie”. fwp Partner Markus Fellner awarded the first prize.

fwp rules in Austrian Moot Court Competition

Fellner Wratzfeld & Partners Attorneys at law (fwp) were represented on the panel of judges in the ELSA Austrian Moot Court Competition 2010 by fwp partner Markus Kajaba. The national finals in Vienna saw the staging of this renowned mock trial with Austria’s best teams.

fwp fastest Austrian law firm at Vienna City Marathon 2010

fwp entered two teams into the relay competition of this year’s Vienna City Marathon. With a finishing time of 3 hours and 4 minutes, one of fwp’s teams came in at rank 52 in the overall results, earning the title of the fastest Austrian lawyer team. The ambitious goal for 2011: finishing in under 3 hours.

On 6 May 2010, AVCO (Austrian Private Equity and Venture Capital Organisation) will host a discussion on the development of the Austrian private equity and venture capital industry. fwp partner Markus Fellner will look into the topic of bank restructuring. Admission to this event is free of cost for members of the business community.

fwp provided legal counsel to OMV Refining & Marketing GmbH in the course of the sale of its Italian subsidiary OMV Italia S.r.l. and during the structured optimisation process for the sale of parts of the filling station network in Austria.

fwp at “win² 2010” Conference. Workshop “Cross-border Joint Ventures” for Law Students

fwp is partner of this year’s “win² 2010” conference, a meeting point for future leaders and visionaries. From 30 April to 2 May 2010, Schloss Esterhazy palace in Eisenstadt will bring together up-coming and ambitious university students. In the course of the three-day conference, the students will form teams to discuss and shed light on issues pertaining to the economy and society at large. The conference will give tomorrow’s leaders the chance to meet today’s decision-makers.

fwp Lead Partner at the 2nd In-house Lawyers Circle

On 10 and 11 March 2010, the second in-house lawyers circle (“Unternehmensjuristen-Circle”) will take place in Krems in Lower Austria. For the second year in a row, fwp is lead partner of this platform which targets mainly in-house lawyers.

fwp provided legal counsel to the successful online gaming company Greentube on the prospective participation of the listed Novomatic gambling group. Astra Games Limited, a British subsidiary of Novomatic, has now acquired the majority in Greentube.
