Within the framework of the fwp kunstakt series, the business law firm presents works of art of students of the Academy of Fine Arts. fwp wants to provide a platform for young artists to present their works to a broad public for one year. Since 2005, young artists have presented their contemporary works of art in the form of paintings, photographies and installations on the premises of the law firm. Every year, the exhibition opening in November is attended by high-profile personalities.

The kunstakt series links the systems “art” and “law” in a productive way and analyses their effects on society and culture. While the legal system organises life in society by setting limits, i.e. by normatively interfering, art strives for the dissolution of boundaries.

What makes the kunstakt series special is the process of creation. The works are site-specific, which means that their content and formal orientation originate from the context of the business law firm, and are especially created for this venue.
